Who am I?
Who am I? This is a question I ask myself daily. I used to know who I was. I was a wife, Mom, daughter, REALTOR, Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, Woman’s Club member. I participated in Leadership Shelby, Light Up Shelbyville, Dogwood Festival (in the old days), Chamber of Commerce events, church activities, Arriba Ninos, Shelbyville Horse Show, Painted Stone Settlers…you name it and I helped in some way, either by organizing or laboring.
Now my life has quieted down tremendously. Both my children have left the nest. And my house is very…empty. My husband has retired. Life has become a lot slower.
But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have enjoyed myself in the past and I’m embracing the future and the promises that I know are mine. Change is inevitable. Just like the old saying “the only thing that never changes is change.”
I have worked in the real estate business in one form or another for 25 years. A LOT about this business has changed (improved actually) and it has been a good ride. Our new location change has been quite exciting and our new building has such a good feel to it. I get good vibes from this place. I’m looking forward to finding out what 529 Main Street (right downtown folks!) has to offer our community.
Let’s keep on keeping on.
